Scoring methodology
Healthy Aging Lifestyle Profile
Rule: questionnaire responses never generate an age in years. Four equally weighted behavior dimensions—activity, sleep duration, nicotine exposure, and a bounded eating-pattern screener—each receive 0–2 points. The transparent total is contextual, not the official AHA Life’s Essential 8 score.
Phenotypic Age
Inputs: chronological age plus albumin, creatinine, glucose, CRP, lymphocyte percentage, MCV, RDW, alkaline phosphatase, and WBC. The calculator uses the published Levine clinical PhenoAge equation with full-precision coefficients retained by the peer-reviewed BioAge implementation.
Units: U.S. lab values are converted in-browser before calculation. CRP is entered in mg/L, converted to mg/dL, then natural-log transformed. Phenotypic Age is a research-derived age-equivalent estimate from population-level mortality modeling—not literal cellular age, a diagnosis, or a lifespan prediction.
Sleep Quality Score
Inputs: regularity, satisfaction, alertness, timing, efficiency, and duration. Each is equally weighted 0–2; total 0–12. Bands are 10–12 “consistently supportive,” 7–9 “mixed, with useful strengths,” and 0–6 “several dimensions need attention.” Bands are editorial summaries, not validated clinical cutoffs.
Rationale: the six dimensions and equal 0–2 scoring follow the RU-SATED framework. Wording is adapted for plain language. Adult duration uses 7–9 hours. The result is not a disorder screen.
Core Health Report
Inputs: physical activity, eating pattern, nicotine-free status, and sleep duration. Each receives 0–2 with equal weight; total 0–8. Bands are 7–8 “mostly supportive,” 4–6 “mixed,” and 0–3 “several patterns to review.” These are transparent editorial bands, not clinical thresholds.
Rationale: the four self-reportable behavior domains come from the American Heart Association’s Life’s Essential 8. The four clinical/measurement domains—body weight, blood lipids, blood glucose, and blood pressure—are deliberately excluded.

Limitations
Answers are self-reported and lab values may contain transcription or unit errors. Phenotypic Age is a research measure derived from population-level mortality modeling. Neither path diagnoses disease, predicts lifespan, or provides treatment guidance. They should not replace care from a qualified professional.
